Vida la Vida

Viva la Vida is becoming one of the trendiest rooftops of Cartagena. The place, newly opened on the last floor of the city’s Convention Center offers an incredible view over the Clock Tower, the walled center and the bay of Cartagena. The stylish terrace is spacious, with comfortable seating, overhanging la Heroica’s most iconic historic landmarks.

This rooftop is not just a perfect spot for sunset and cocktails lovers: it is also a very innovative Japanese and sushi restaurant. Their chef, Felix Jimenez, has been perfecting his technique for years with his masters in Japan, before returning to Madrid where he won a Michelin star and two Repsol soles. He recently started to explore Colombia’s new vibrant culinary scene. Viva la Vida was first created in the capital city, Bogota, where it quickly gained success among foodies and Japan lovers, and recently opened this second restaurant in Cartagena, with the same idea: to offer meticulously prepared Japanese dishes and unique drinks, in a zen, modern and sophisticated setting.

Later in the evening, Viva la Vida hosts DJ sets and live music, so you can start your night dancing in their rooftop and go on partying in the many clubs nearby. Fancy tip: you can arrive to this restaurant walking from the Walled city, or by boat, at the end of the sunset tour we can arrange for you!
