General Terms

By booking with Hi Cartagena Travel S.A.S. (“Hi Cartagena Travel”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

We act as an intermediary agency connecting travelers with third-party providers for tours, boat rentals, and vacation properties. All services are provided by trusted local partners who meet our quality standards.

Hi Cartagena Travel is not responsible for accidents, delays, damages, or losses caused by third-party providers. However, we will always do our best to assist and find a solution if something goes wrong.

Bookings & Payments

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the service date.

  • Payments are accepted in USD (or COP according to the daily exchange rate).

  • Prices may change without notice depending on season and provider updates.

Cancellations & Refunds

Boat Rentals

  • All boat reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit to save the date and vessel.

  • Once confirmed, the boat is blocked exclusively for your group, meaning we often lose the opportunity to rent it to others.

  • For this reason, no refunds are given if you cancel.

  • You may, however, reschedule your trip for another available date (subject to availability).

Exception:
If DIMAR (Colombian Maritime Authority) issues a red flag or official order prohibiting boats from leaving port due to bad weather or sea conditions, you can reschedule or request a full refund.

Vacation Rentals (Houses & Villas)

  • House or villa bookings also require a 50% non-refundable deposit to save your selected property.

  • Once confirmed, the property is blocked on your behalf, and cancellations usually result in lost income for the owner.

  • Therefore, no refunds are issued for cancellations.

  • You can, however, reschedule your stay to another available date (subject to owner approval and seasonal rates).

Tours & Activities

  • Cancellations 6+ days in advance → full refund minus 15% admin fee.

  • 3–5 days before → 50% refund minus 15% admin fee.

  • Within 24 hours or after start → no refund.

Property & Boat Rules

  • Check-in for properties: 3:00 PM | Check-out: 12:00 PM

  • Boat hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Guests must follow all local regulations, avoid loud noise, and respect neighbors and staff.

  • Damage to property or equipment will be charged to the guest.

Liability

Guests use all services (boats, pools, properties, tours) at their own risk.
Hi Cartagena Travel and its partners are not liable for injury, theft, loss, or force majeure events (weather, strikes, travel delays, etc.).

Privacy

All personal data is used only to manage your booking. Payment information is processed securely by certified third-party platforms; we never store your card details.

Responsible Tourism

Hi Cartagena Travel S.A.S. (NIT 901762858-1, RNT 203784 ) rejects all forms of sexual exploitation, child abuse, and illegal wildlife or cultural trafficking in accordance with Colombian Law 679 of 2001 and Law 599 of 2000 (Art. 328).

We promote respect for local culture, nature, and communities.
