vacation rentalsCasa Zoe is truly a Caribbean dream mansion located in one of the most prestigious areas of Cartagena. Surrounded by an air of infamy thanks to it’s one time occupant Sir Francis Drake,  El Pirate Drake as he is known somewhat less affectionately around these parts, it’s undoubtedly a place of genuine history nestled right in the the heart of the city, and you can stay here! The one downside of this magnificent abode is that it only has 7 bedrooms, although it should be pointed out that trying to fit in some more would have been the owner’s doing a disservice to the house. Each room is as impressive in size at is in design. There’s no petty squabbles about who gets which room here, that’s for sure. The beautiful monochrome design laid out by the owners French mother would give even the most respected interior designer a run for their money. The emerald pool backed with stone walls  is a splash of colour in this minimal masterpiece and the perfect place for a dip to cool off in the midday heat of Cartagena. The house saves its best for the roof terrace though, a refreshing plunge pool complete with a spectacular view of the rooftops of old town Cartagena. Watch the view from here whilst sipping on a something cold from here as the sun sets into the caribbean sea and we guarantee you’ll feel like the epitome of serenity. Oh, and be sure to say hi to Francois the resident Toucan for us, a little reminder that you’re in 21st Century Caribbean and not 17th Century France.
